The third season of New Girl was announced by FOX on March 4, 2013. The season will premiere on September 17, 2013. With Super Bowl XLVIII airing this year on FOX, it was announced that New Girl had earned the coveted post-game slot. The episode after the Super Bowl will air February 2, 2014.
Guest Stars
Damon Wayans, who portrayed Coach in the series' "Pilot" episode, will appear at least four episodes, with a reported option for even more, in season three. [1] The move follows the cancellation of Happy Endings, the show that had forced him to step away from New Girl in the first place. Merrit Wever is also set to reprise her role as Elizabeth for at least two episodes. [2] Angela Kinsey is set to play a teacher at Jess's new school, who does not get along with Jess. Eva Amurri is also set to reprise her role as Schmidt's co-worker, Beth.[3]
