Ashton Swinford is a professional actress, and a published writer, singer + songwriter from the streets of NYC. Born to squatters in NYC's Astor Place, Ashton began performing and modeling at the age of 6. She returned to the craft in college at the University of MN where she was recruited to play soccer + began performing with the University and local theater companies. After two successful seasons with Toussaint Morrison's Hip Hop theater company as an actress, singer + spoken word artist, she returned to NYC + began directing + acting for companies like Red Fern, Vampire Cowboys, Manhattan Rep, The Lark + LAByrinth. She continued her work at the Stella Adler Studio where she met her mentor and now co-founder of IN THE MOMENT Repertory, professor Robyn Lee, with whom she co-wrote + published IN THE MOMENT: The Art of Being, a book on the acting method created by Robyn Lee.
